Thor star Chris Hemsworth has made a cameo in his wife Elsa Pataky’s new Netflix movie Interceptor.
The Marvel alum can be seen in an uncredited role, wearing a disguise as a salesperson named Jed.
In the film, when terrorists take over the interceptor base, they start an Emergency broadcast to reveal their plan to the nation.
We then cut to a bunch of different US cities to see the broadcast play out. One such broadcast is at Buy-Fi Electricals in LA where we see none other than Hemsworth as a salesperson called Jed.
Even when Elsa Pataky’s Captain JJ Collins regains control of the base, the broadcast continues. The movie then occasionally cuts back to Jed watching along and cheering on Collins.
This is not the first time the couple has made an appearance on each other’s projects. Back in 2014, Pataky acted as a stand-in for Natalia Portman’s Jane Foster in Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World. Portman was unable to make it to some of the reshoots, so Pataky donned a wig and stepped in to play her role in a scene that required her to kiss Hemworth’s Thor.
“It was for reshoots [after the film was finished] and he was working in Hong Kong and I couldn’t get there because I was working on my own film,” Portman told the New York Daily News back in the day, “And so they put his wife in my wig and costume – that’s why it was so passionate. It was such a perfect solution, wasn’t it?”
That scene seamlessly played into the movie with the help of a wig, costume and some sneaky camera tricks. The Fast and Furious star had been travelling with Hemsworth and their one-year-old daughter at the time.
