Chelsea have been extremely active during the January transfer window, bringing in six players to Graham Potter’s squad in the form of Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos and David Datro Fofana.
However, football.london understands that their business is far from over, with Todd Boehly still keen to bring in at least two more players before next week’s deadline. The likes of Malo Gusto, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez have all been linked with moves to the Blues, who currently sit tenth in the Premier League table.
With that being said, we’ve summed up all the latest transfer rumours involving Chelsea from the last 24 hours.
Havertz latest
According to transfer guru Dean Jones, Kai Havertz won’t be leaving Stamford Bridge anytime soon, with the Blues said to be extremely happy with the player. Speaking to Givemesport, Jones said: “I don’t think Kai Havertz will leave Chelsea anytime soon at all. They love him. They think he’s a brilliant footballer; he is a brilliant footballer.
“I know that he probably gets a bit of a hard time because of his body language and his style of play, but that’s just how he is. It’s not that he’s languid or lazy or anything like that. That is just how Havertz plays football.”
The German international has featured 19 times in the Premier League so far this term, scoring five times and providing one assist.
Mac Allister bid
Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister in recent times and Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web have now claimed that the Blues have submitted an offer to the Seagulls worth in the region of €55million (£49million) for the Argentina international.
It is claimed that Brighton have rebuffed the offer for Mac Allister, who enjoyed an exceptional World Cup campaign to help Lionel Messi and co. win their first World Cup since 1986.
Lamptey impact
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey, who left Chelsea three years ago, has attracted attention from Lyon in the event that right-back Malo Gusto leaves the Ligue 1 side this month. Writing on Twitter, Romano said: “Tariq Lamptey, one to watch in the final days of the transfer window.
“European clubs are informed on his situation as he could leave Brighton #BHAFC Olympique Lyon are among clubs now showing interest in Lamptey in case Malo Gusto leaves to join Chelsea.” Lamptey joined Chelsea at the age of eight before eventually departing for the Seagulls in search of more regular game time.
If Lamptey does sign for Lyon, it could greatly help the Blues in their pursuit of the aforementioned Gusto.
