Jason Statham is synonymous with a cold character, a deep voice, sharp eyes, a mysterious smile and a calm, deadly demeanor. Even though his character doesn’t always show off his biceps, the 55-year-old English-born actor is always attached to macho roles. That is an overview of Statham’s roles in every film he has starred in.
Likewise in his latest film ‘Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre’ which starts showing in theaters starting today, Wednesday (25/1). Directed by Guy Ritchie, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is an action-comedy film.
Guy Ritchie is known as a reliable director who has worked on The Gentlemen and Sherlock Holmes.
Apart from Jason, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre also involved well-known actors and actresses such as Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Cary Elwes, Bugzy Malone and Hugh Grant.
In his latest film, Jason Statham plays mercenary agent Orson Fortune involved in an undercover mission to save the world.
Armed with limited information, Orson Fortune and the recruited team must track down and stop the sale of weapons with artificial intelligence technology that can destroy the modern world order by weapons dealer and billionaire, Greg Simmonds, played by Hugh Grant.
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre offers lots of challenging action scenes with humor.
In his disguise, Orson, as the team leader, involves popular movie star Danny Francesco (Josh Hartnett) to approach Greg Simmons. Orson also had to disguise himself as the manager of actor Danny Francesco.
Even though he has a cold facial expression, Jason Statham’s dialogues in Operation Fortune can make the audience laugh. Especially with the behavior of Josh Hartnett who was faced with a real situation while helping his team disguise themselves.
Orson Fortune is partnered with a CIA high-tech expert named Sarah Fidel (Aubrey Plaza).
Armed with his skills in disguise, equipped with charm and intelligence, Fortune traveled the world to infiltrate Greg Simmonds’ organization.
Scenes of fights and shootings that satisfy the eye are presented beautifully by the director. This film is the latest collaboration between the director and Statham, who previously worked together on the film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1999).
