I am pretty sure that back in school, all of us have been separated from our best friend by the teachers for disrupting the class a bit too much. That’s exactly the treatment Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth seemed to have gotten from Marvel during the promotions of Avengers: Endgame.

While the two of them were not allowed to be paired up during any of the interviews for the press tour of Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans held a grudge about it. Just like a student hated the time when he was made to sit far away from his best friend, Chris Evans, too, wasn’t fond of the idea of not being paired up with Chris Hemsworth. Why weren’t they paired together, though?

Apart from the movies and TV shows the Marvel Cinematic Universe has given its audience, fans also obsess over something other than that – friendship between the actors. While on-screen chemistry is important, fans cannot help but swoon over the relationships between the actors in real life, particularly bromances!
MCU has resulted in a lot of bromances over the year but a fan-favorite out of them all has to be the one between Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth. Not only do the two actors share the same first name, but also have a loving bond. However, as both of them have huge, hilarious personalities to their name, getting anything done surely would’ve been a task! Marvel sure agreed with this as they didn’t let the two actors promote Endgame together.
Talking to Variety, Hemsworth talked about his relations with the MCU stars. From Robert Downey Jr. having a mentor element to incredible friendships with Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner, Hemsworth is tight with his colleagues. However, his bond with Evans excels them all.
“With Chris Evans, I have a real brotherly bond. I think they wouldn’t pair us up on this press tour, because we just spend the whole time screwing around and none of it is on topic.”
Evans affirmed his co-star’s words and called the whole deal “bullsh*t.” He continued stating that in the future he would love to do a movie with the namesake actor, beyond the MCU.
“Which is such bullsh*t. We had too much fun together, and truly like kids in school, we were separated because we weren’t getting sh*t done…I would love to do one of those ’80s buddy comedies, where we could shed the characters we are known for.”
Honestly, who wouldn’t want to see the chemistry between the duo again on the big screens? I’m sure most of us still can’t forget the scene in Endgame where Thor looks super proud of Captain America for wielding the Mjolnir. The Chris-Chris duo would simply kill it in the comedy genre!

The Bickering Bromance Between the TwoChris Hemsworth and Chris Evans eat Doritos
In the interviews the two have done together, it is super easy to see just how close they are with each other. Whenever Evans and Hemsworth are on the screen together, we know it’s going to be an entertaining watch. In one interview, Hemsworth and Evans were eating Cool Ranch Doritos and the former says to the latter, “That’s exactly what I thought you’d taste like,” relating to the fact that Evan’s body gets compared to the chip on the Internet.
In another instance, when asked who the most good-looking Avenger was, Evans blurted out “Chris Hemsworth!” in a matter of milliseconds. He then jokingly addressed his response by asking if that was way too quick. Their bromance goes beyond bickering. Evans talked about how Hemsworth is like a brother to him and stated that it was nice to have someone to share the pressure with.
“We both took these roles. We were both timid and nervous and didn’t know how it was gonna play out. It’s been nice to kind of share this with him. We each have the standalone films as well, which can be a whole separate element of pressure and anxiety, and he’s just been so helpful to me. Just to have someone else who’s going through the same struggles I am.”
So, whether it is on-screen or off-screen, putting Evans and Hemsworth together will always be a treat to watch. We wholeheartedly hope that Evans can make that 80s buddy movie a reality because we would definitely watch that!
