One of the best athletes of all time is LeBron James. Even at age 38, he has played in the NBA for more than 20 seasons and has not yet displayed any significant symptoms of slowing down.
The most recent example of it was when James dropped a phenomenal triple-double performance against the New York Knicks. Behind LeBron James’ amazing triple-double against the Knicks, the Los Angeles Lakers registered an overtime victory.
As for LeBron, he also reached one step closer to breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. James is now less than 100 points away from breaking Kareem’s all-time scoring record.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Reacts To LeBron James Getting Closer To Breaking His Scoring Record
LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar do not really have a good relationship with each other. Even NBA legend Magic Johnson once claimed that whenever James passes Kareem and becomes the NBA’s all-time scoring leader, Abdul-Jabbar will not be happy.
But Kareem proved everyone wrong recently by praising LeBron James for getting closer to breaking his all-time scoring record.
I’ve been carrying the torch as record holder for 38 years. I’m excited and relieved to pass it along to the next worthy recipient. LeBron earned it and I hope he carries it even longer than I did.
It is certainly great to see Kareem finding a way to be happy for LeBron, instead of showing hate toward the current Los Angeles Lakers cornerstone superstar. With the pace that James is scoring right now, he will manage to surpass Kareem in the coming weeks.
Although it has been a much-anticipated day when it finally arrives, it will be full of emotions for LeBron, and every NBA fan will want to be in attendance when he finally breaks the record. And as things stand right now, LeBron’s historic night will be attended by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as well.
