The Argentinean confirmed in Ole that they use it when they argue with each other
Lionel Messi made history with iconic moments at the World Cup, but one of the unexpected ones was off the field.
One of the most played videos and an expression that some have tattooed on their skin or printed on a T-shirt was Messi’s “walk away, idiot” directed at The Netherlands’ forward Wout Weghorst.
The saying has crossed borders and his children are no strangers to it.
Family banter
The striker, in an interview with Diario Ole, has confessed that his children use the saying too
“When they argue and fight among themselves, they throw it around,” he explained.
Laughing, the Argentina No.10 acknowledged that some of them use it at home.
Beckham: I love watching players like Messi
Explained why he enjoys watching the PSG star
David Beckham has broke down the reasons why Lionel Messi is the player that he enjoys watching most.
The Argentina captain led his team all the way to 2022 World Cup success back in November.
His future at Paris Saint-Germain is up in the air, as his current deal runs until the end of June and PSG have yet to announce his contract extension that would see him stay put beyond the upcoming summer.
“It has to be Messi. I love Leo for many different reasons,” Beckham told ESPN Argentina.
“I love him because he’s a great father. I love him because he’s a great personality, a character.
“He’s a great person. But I think what everybody loves about him is the way he plays the game.
“He plays the game with passion. He plays the game just free the way he plays. And I think this past World Cup again.
“I think the way he played for his team, for his country and to win that World Cup was an incredible moment for him. And I love watching players like him.”
