Wong had been a great part of the Doctor Strange sequel. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness features a lot of gruesome deaths, mostly by the Scarlet Witch. There were a lot of possibilities that the movie could have gone forward with but didn’t. Concept arts show other scenes and versions of the movie that could have been a part of the final cut but had been left out.

Such a concept art has been revealed that focuses on Wong. Being the first horror movie under the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the sequel included much darker aspects that had not been explored before. It has already been known that Mordo’s death had been removed beforehand and perhaps, there was another character’s death that has been left out.

Wong Was Brutally Murdered In The Doctor Strange 2 Concept Art
New concept art revealed by Rob Bliss showed Wong’s head being chopped off from the upper part, leaving only half his head attached to his body. The scenario in general was gruesome to look at, with his brain being spilled all around him. His death was one alongside that of the Illuminati, so it can be presumed that it was by Wanda’s hands that the character met his end.

Whether or not it was Earth-616’s Wong who died or some other version of him, is still unclear. Earth-838’s Wong was set to appear in the movie and even had a concept art of himself. However, by the time the movie was released, he had been removed from the film altogether, keeping only the original version of the character. A lot of scenes had been removed from the movie that could have proven to be essential. One such scene was that of Mordo’s death. Scarlet Witch allegedly beheaded the character when he approached her off-screen.

Wong, as the Sorcerer Supreme, was training Abomination, managing the Sanctum, as well as enjoying some vacation time with his new best friend. His appearances have been rather unrelated and even not as significant to the plot in some cases.
