Selena Gomez is to be admired for many reasons.
Her talents as an actress and singer, activist, willingness to be vulnerable and open in her new music, her fashion credentials (we’re looking at you, Ganni dress), the list goes on.
But now, we can add how she styles out and effortlessly recovers from what could have very easily been a dramatic tumble and trip situation.
On Tuesday, the 27-year-old was photographed in New York City wearing a beautiful patterned midi dress by Ganni and some envy-inducing Celine thigh-high slouch boots.
While the boots are made for walking, during said walking Gomez momentarily lost her footing, fell onto the side of her right ankle and almost fell down while exiting a building.
Though a trusty security guard appeared by her side to help her, Gomez had it covered, balancing herself and raising her hands in the air as if to tell those around her: ‘I’m fine.’
Undeterred by the mishap, Gomez carried on and left the building looking flawless, resulting in these pictures:
As the moment was captured on camera by someone behind her, the ‘Can’t Keep My Hands To Myself’ singer shared it on her Instagram Stories, clearly found the whole thing quite funny, writing that she’d watched the clip ‘a million times’.
Gomez has been spotted out and about quite a lot recently after releasing two new singles, ‘Lose You To Love Me’ and ‘Look At Her Now’.
In various interviews and, on social media, the star has opened up about the meaning of the lyrics and how relationship breakdowns and experiences can influence your music.
While not name-checking anyone in particular during her promotional tour, many are assuming Gomez’s most recent work to be about the former Disney star’s on-off relationship with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and his subsequent marriage to Hailey Baldwin.
