With time, the theory was garnering more heat, as fans were assured that Batman and Robin’s version of the character may get his time to shine in the new DCU. But recently, the DC Boss James Gunn has debunked the rumors of Clooney returning as the caped crusader by responding to a fan’s tweet.
Michael Keaton is set to feature in the upcoming movie The Flash, which will reset the universe and his future as Gotham’s vigilante. But apart from Michael Keaton, it appears that no pre-established Batman actor will be donning the cape of the Dark Knight in James Gunn-led DCU.

But James Gunn has finally cleared the air surrounding his vision for the Dark Knight, as he confirms that the upcoming The Brave and the Bold will introduce a fresh and new actor as Batman.
Following his plan for Superman, which will also comprise a new actor at its forefront, it’s reasonable to assume that James Gunn’s DCU may not have any ties with the previous DC movies. And with The Flash erasing the previously scattered universe, James Gunn can build his version of the world’s finest from scratch.

James Gunn to hire a new actor for DCU’s Batman
Although no new information about the new Batman adaptation has been made public, it has been revealed that the movie will follow in the line of Grant Morrison’s famous comic book run The Brave and the Bold. And considering that it will introduce Batman’s son Damien Wayne as Robin, it’s reasonable to assume that we will have a seasoned and more experienced Batman in the DCU.
