After climbing down from a tree, a leopard was seen attempting to approach a warthog family that wasn’t aware of its presence.
Jan-Louis Human, a 36-year-old mechanical engineer, and Moosa Varachia, a 30-year-old wildlife photography guide, witnessed this thrilling sighting while on a game drive in the Kruger National Park.
They said that they came upon a squirrel that was nearby and made an alarm cry. They assumed that the leopard was nearby because of the squirrel’s alarm sounds. Despite their best efforts, neither of them could find the leopard. After spending some time looking for the leopard, Moosa finally found her lounging on a low limb in a nearby tree, and they pulled over so that they could get a good look at her.
A family of warthogs was then seen ambling down the road. The leopard glanced at them and immediately lifted her head. The warthogs proceeded down the road after passing Jan-Louis’ automobile. She descended from the tree and briefly vanished into the tall ɢʀᴀss. She then moved the final few feet toward the edge of the road while crawling like a leopard. She sat down and waited, hiding herself entirely in the long ɢʀᴀss.
The warthogs turned around for some reason, and they started to move back toward where she was hiding. The next instant, soᴍᴇᴛʜing happened! She sprung up from the ɢʀᴀss and pursued one of the piglets. The warthogs dispersed and fled in various directions. She pursued them down the street for a short distance before giving up. She then turned around and moved toward them before vanishing into the tall ɢʀᴀss along the riverbed.
