The DC is currently one of the most significant topics in the world of pop culture. Following James Gunn’s announcement of the new DC Universe slate, the fandom has been widely busy devising new theories. On top of it, the recently released The Flash trailer drove the fans wild. Amidst all these, a new viral video has created quite a buzz on the internet. In the new video, we can spot an AI-created Gunn announcing his plans to sell the SnyderVerse to Netflix.
James Gunn
Looks like a creator planned on to do some fun with the uprising demand among the fans to sell the SnyderVerse to the OTT platform. Even though James Gunn didn’t respond to the fanmade video, he was sure to speak on the SnyderVerse rumors a few days back.

Fans want James Gunn to sell the SnyderVerse to Netflix
Following the whole Zack Snyder fiasco, it seems that the debate won’t end in the recent future. After WB agreed to release Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max as a result of a widespread campaign, the Snyder fans are still hell-bent on getting the complete SnyderVerse in whatever way possible. This resulted in the recent trend of #SellSnyderverseToNetflix.
James Gunn and Zack Snyder
A creator named Comic Stream created a video where we can spot an AI version of James Gunn announcing that he will sell the SnyderVerse to Netflix. As a result of this, Zack Snyder will also get to complete his vision, and it will also not interfere with DCU’s slate. In the video, Gunn stated:
“Well I have to tell you that, I really thought that DC Fans didn’t like the SnyderVerse at all, but after yesterday’s massive event, I am now convinced that we have to give Zack another chance to finish his visionary universe. Afterall, I am his greatest fan. So we will let him finish his movies on Netflix because that will never be on movie theaters. So they cannot compete with my new universe. And DC Comics and Warner cannot allow of the money of that partnership too. It’s a win win!”
Now although the deep fake video of James Gunn’s announcement resulted in a laugh riot as well as strange reactions on Twitter, the reality is completely opposite.

What did James Gunn say on #SellSnyderverseToNetflix? The Snyderverse
As a steady surge in the SnyderVerse hashtags was spotted, the new co-head of DCU himself spoke on the matter and claimed that it is ‘the wackiest hashtag ever’. He revealed that neither Netflix nor Zack Snyder is presently interested in the universe.
“I have to say, this has got to be the wackiest hashtag ever since 1) Netflix hasn’t expressed any such interest (although we’ve discussed other stuff) & 2) Zack hasn’t expressed any interest & seems to be happy doing what he’s doing (and, yes, we too have talked).”
James Gunn opened up that Zack Snyder contacted him but only to show him his support on the new announcements. So presently, with the release of the brand new trailer of The Flash showing us a glimpse of the soft reboot for the universe and with Gunn’s plans for the new era of DCU, the SnyderVerse possibilities are highly scarce.

On top of it, Zack Snyder is busy planning out his Rebel Moon as well as the Army of the Dead franchises for the streaming platform. So it doesn’t seem like the director will have much time to think about his past plans. It was also said by the Man of Steel director himself during a 2021 interview.
But despite everything, James Gunn also made it clear that he has spoken to Netflix about the continuation of other things. This can be a hint towards the upcoming seasons of The Sandman series which proved to be a successful venture.
