In his final match at UFC 247, Jon Jones waged war on Dominick Reyes.
The 5-round Light Heavyweight championship matchup saw multiple combinations of attacks from ‘Bones’ which earned him a unanimous decision victory. But, following that, it had been a long wait for his fans until the beginning of 2023, when the UFC announced his return. ‘Bones’ is currently sweating it out in the gym to sharpen his weapons prior to his UFC return in March.
Recently, Conor McGregor‘s very own combat sports coverage house, ‘The Mac Life’ put out a video of one of ‘Bones’ sparring sessions on their Instagram page. The post garnered numerous reactions from their followers and other Instagram users. However, the comments section pretty much showcased that the rivalry between Jones and his UFC 285 opponent, Cyril Gane, had already begun.

The short video showcased ‘Bones’ throwing a few punching combinations, after which he stated, “We’re working” two times. Whereas, ‘The Mac Life’ captioned their post, “It’s nearly time”.
It evidently delighted a large chunk of fans to see their beloved fighter gearing up to get back into action. They even gave out their predictions about the method and round in which ‘Bones’ was going to finish his opponent Gane.

The other chunk of fans was evidently in favor of Gane. They gave out their opinions on why ‘Bon Gamin’ would get the better of ‘Bones’ in their matchup.
Some fans also perceived that Jon Jones would get outstriked by Cyril Gane
After witnessing the sparring footage of ‘Bones’, a number of fans presented their opinion that he had slowed down considerably. They also stated that with this speed, Jones won’t be able to stand anywhere in front of Gane.
A few such comments were:

Despite all the support for each fighter from their fans, a sparring video can never be enough to predict the outcome of such a huge bout. Fans will have to wait till 5 March 2023 to find out the answer to the coveted question of who shall be the next UFC Heavyweight Champion.
