The former Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant sustained an MCL sprain weeks before being dealt to the Phoenix Suns, keeping him out for the foreseeable future. Durant did make himself available to the media in Salt Lake City despite being unable to take part in the All-Star Game due to this ailment. Durant covered a wide range of subjects, including his current injury issue.
While Durant admitted that he does not know exactly when he will return, he added that his knee feels solid, saying, “I don’t know. My knee feels solid, though. I’ve got a couple more days before games and stuff, so I’m just going to try to figure it out with the training staff and see what the best option is.”
It is certainly great news that Durant is feeling better, and while he has no official timetable for his return, it should not be too far down the line. The Suns cannot wait to have their new superstar in the mix, as he projects to elevate them into the top tier of championship contenders.
The Nets got a solid return in exchange for their franchise star, as they also begin a new era with Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson. Both sides are happy with their new teams, and this should be a fun last two months of the season.
