Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos recently announced his retirement from international football. The news might have been a prelude to what the future holds for him.
Ramos’ contract at PSG expires in June, and it doesn’t appear that the capital club will sign the 36-year-old to a new contract. As a result, the veteran could need to continue his career elsewhere and it might be in Saudi Arabia.
Marca reported on Friday, citing sources, that Al-Nassr’s leaders have already contacted the defender’s entourage to express their interest in seeing Ramos alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
Along with Ramos, Al-Nassr intends to contact other players in an attempt to outdo the performance that Al-Hilal did by reaching the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup final.
The Spanish media outlet notes that one of those players is midfielder Luka Modric, but the Croatian would like to continue at Real Madrid. As for Ramos, there’s no answer yet as to whether he’d want to join Al-Nassr.
