Michael Jordan and LeBron James have been compared a lot in recent years, as many people have different opinions on who is the undisputed NBA GOAT.
For Magic Johnson, who has his former rival and friend Jordan as the greatest of all time, LeBron still needs to do a couple of things before he can overtake His Airness.
“I don’t know. It might take a couple more championships to do that. LeBron is special. I don’t want people to always get mad over this. We have got to celebrate both guys. Michael is the best, and we should celebrate him and we should celebrate LeBron,” Magic said on The Dan Patrick Show (10:41 mark).
Magic also discussed why he thinks there’s nobody better than Jordan in his eyes, bringing up Mike’s record in the Finals and the big performances he had during those incredible runs. He still gave LeBron his flowers.
“I hate when people get mad at you if you take one or the other, and we should just say, ‘hey, Michael is special.’ And he’s the best to me because he never lost in the NBA Finals and he’s averaged over 37 points a game. The guy is just unbelievable. But LeBron is special in his own right too, and people shouldn’t forget that either,” Johnson added.
This remains a hot topic in the NBA and even though legends like Johnson call Jordan the greatest to ever do it, other people will find a reason to support LeBron, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, or whoever they pick as the GOAT.
Gilbert Arenas Believes Michael Jordan Is The GOAT For Making Players Stop Using Cocaine During The 80s
The GOAT debate has become a hot topic around the league once again and many people have given their opinion about it. Besides our compilations of legends and superstars picking Jordan or LeBron as the greatest to ever do it, Gilbert Arenas recently claimed that Jordan recovered his status as GOAT for making rivals stop using cocaine during the 80s.
This comes after he stated that LeBron was the GOAT after exceeding expectations and surpassing both Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson during his career. Well, now Arenas is changing his mind, siding with Jordan for making everybody take the game more seriously with his fierce competitiveness.
As the days go by, this debate gets hotter, and many people will have different opinions on it, including legends of the game.
