According to The Daily Telegraph journalist Sam Dean on Twitter, Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard was limping at the end of the match against Sporting Lisbon, while left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko was clutching his hamstring.
POTENTIAL INJURY TO ARSENAL DUO LEANDRO TROSSARD AND OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO
Arsenal have been beaten by Sporting in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16.
The first leg between Sporting and Arsenal in Lisbon ended in a 2-2 draw.
The second leg at the Emirates Stadium in North London on Thursday evening finished 1-1 after extra time.
Sporting won the match 5-3 on penalties.
Defenders William Saliba and Takehiro Tomiyasu had to be substituted in the first half.
And journalist Dean has reported that at the end of the match, winger Trossard and left-back Zinchenko had injury problems as well.
Winger Trossard came on at half time for Brazil international striker Gabriel Jesus.
Zinchenko, described as “sensational” by former Chelsea defender Scott Minto on TalkSPORT this week, started the match at left-back and played for the entire game.
POTENTIAL WORRY FOR THE GUNNERS
In our view, that Leandro Trossard and Oleksandr Zinchenko were struggling at the end of the match against Sporting Lisbon is potentially worrying for Arsenal.
It will be interesting to see if the winger and the left-back are able to start against Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Sunday.
Arsenal are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment, and they really cannot afford any more injuries.
