Accidents happen, so it’s nice to know there are helpful people around to save the day!
Ben Camphor and Jack Spencer Furmston were walking near a canal in Manchester, England, when they saw Batu Akyol desperately clinging to the end of his dog’s leash. Batu’s dog had slipped into the water, and the canal’s sides were so steep and slick, the animal couldn’t get a grip. A small group had formed as the dog struggled to keep his head above water below.
“Everyone was panicking,” Ben said. “I couldn’t let that dog down and not help.”
In seconds, the group decided to lower Ben down headfirst so he could grab ahold of the dog. Dabhidh MchicEamailinn was walking on the other side of the water, and he captured the incredible video of the men dangling Ben by the ankles so he could grasp the dog’s collar and haul him up to dry land.
Their rescue technique looked like something from Cirque du Soleil! Well done, guys! Watch the video below, and don’t forget to share.
