It’s refreshing to see that despite her rising fame, Jennifer Lawrence is still able to laugh at herself.
The Hunger Games actress joked about a photograph taken of herself in a bikini during a recent Hawaii holiday during her appearance on the David Letterman show of Tuesday.
Encouraging the host to hold up the offending paparazzi snap, the 22-year-old insisted, albeit jokingly, that the bottom in the picture was not hers, saying it must have been photoshopped.
Butt… Jennifer Lawrence joked about an unflattering bikini paparazzi snap of herself during an appearance on the David Letterman show on Tuesday

‘It’s not my butt and I will not take responsibility for it,’ she protested. ‘It’s a 90-year-old butt that’s been photoshopped onto my body, and is posing as my butt.’
Jennifer caused laughter from the audience as she explained how she was not the most photogenic of people, and often suffers from ‘bloat’.
‘There’s me looking bloated,’ she said, pointing at other pictures of herself Letterman was holding up.
Elsewhere during her interview, Lawrence clarified she does not have it in for Meryl Streep.
The Silver Linings Playbook star caused a stir on Twitter on Sunday when she collected her best actress Golden Globe and jokily exclaimed: ‘I beat Meryl!’
The line was a reference to a Bette Midler quote from 1996 comedy The First Wives Club.
But an unamused Lohan clearly didn’t get the joke. ‘No1 should ever mess with a legend such as Meryl Streep,’ Lohan tweeted sternly.
Lawrence, who is also nominated for best actress at the Oscars, laughed off the controversy in her interview on The Late Show With David Letterman.

‘I had no idea Lindsay Lohan would take to the Twitterverse (to complain)…Twitter is very upset,’ The Hunger Games actress joked.
Insulting Streep – a three-time winner of the best actress Oscar and nominated on 14 other occasions – was the last thing on her mind, Lawrence said.
‘I was like, is that what this turned into? I don’t like Meryl Streep? As if I’ve had my eyes on getting that girl forever and I was like “Finally! I knew it would happen one day”,’ added Lawrence, describing Streep as ‘the best and the greatest.’

Asked if she had attempted to speak to Streep to clarify her comments, Lawrence replied: ‘I don’t know if I want to — I’m nervous … I wanted to make a public statement, like “Hey idiots. It’s a quote from a movie!”’
Lawrence is already on record as being a huge Streep fan. In an interview for Vanity Fair magazine she recalled being starstruck after seeing the Hollywood icon at an event.
‘Once I’m obsessed with somebody, I’m terrified of them instantly,’ she told the magazine.
‘I’m not scared of them — I’m scared of me and how I will react. Like, for instance, one time someone was introducing me to Bill Maher, and I saw Meryl Streep walk into the room, and I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher’s face and said, “Not now, Bill!” and I just stared at Meryl Streep.’
Hitting out: Lindsay Lohan tweeted her disapproval of Jennifer’s Globes ‘dig’ at Meryl

Lawrence has emerged as one of Hollywood’s hottest talents after her performances in Winter’s Bone, X-Men First Class, The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook.
Lawrence attributes her success in acting to her childhood, when she was a ‘big liar.’
‘I was just like a pathological liar when I was a kid,’ she said. ‘I just always lied about everything and I think it was partly I just wanted to one-up somebody.’
