In June, Chris spoke about his decision to move to Byron Bay with his family in 2014, after they had spent several years living in LA.
The father-of-three told OK! magazine the sea change had been a ‘good decision’ overall for his family.
‘There I can be with people and talk about things that have nothing to do with the film business,’ Chris said.
‘That’s almost impossible in Los Angeles, where there’s rarely a moment when you can forget that you’re an actor.’
Low-key lifestyle: ‘[In Byron Bay] I can be with people and talk about things that have nothing to do with the film business,’ Chris told OK! magazine earlier this year
He added: ‘Living in Australia allows me to be away from a world where where you can lose touch with reality sometimes.’
Elsa also told The Sydney Morning Herald in December that moving to Byron Bay was like a childhood dream come true.
‘Growing up I was very happy in nature, with animals, and I dreamed of living in a place where my kids can run around with no shoes on, surrounded by all kinds of animals – dangerous and not dangerous,’ she said.
