Kevin Durant’s upcoming return has now put the Phoenix Suns as the favorites to win the Western Conference according to FD Sportsbook
With Kevin Durant expected to return for the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday March 29 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the NBA Western Conference playoff odds have suddenly shifted.
According to FDSportsbook, the Suns now have the best odds to win the West at +700, leapfrogging the Denver Nuggets whose odds are now at +800.

As it stands, the Nuggets are currently the No. 1 seed in the West while Phoenix sits just a few spots behind
If Durant indeed returns to the court on March 29, it would mean a lot.
Durant would give this team a major boost, especially given their recent stretch where it’s been tough to grab a win.
Also, assuming Durant plays the remaining seven games starting on Wednesday, he will be able to build much needed chemistry with the rest of his teammates leading into the playoffs which would give Phoenix a huge advantage.
The Suns have proven veterans and players that have been to the NBA Finals, something Denver lacks. Despite Nikola Jokic winning back to back MVPs, the Nuggets have been a disappointment both of those years failing to reach the Western Conference Finals.
Phoenix’s playoff experience should show especially against a team like Denver that can’t seem to get over the hump come April and May.
There is still some basketball to play in the regular season, so we will most likely see these odds change in the coming weeks. For now though, the Suns are the favorites to come out of the West.
These last few games have major significance for Phoenix in locking in a top playoff spot while getting them prepared to go on a long championship run that will hopefully end in a parade in downtown.
