Mo Salah ignores talk about his future at Liverpool as he takes his daughter out for breakfast after admitting he’s open to joining Barcelona or Real Madrid… amid claims the Egyptian is ‘unhappy’ at Anfield despite scoring twice in win at Crystal Palace
Mohamed Salah put speculation surrounding a move away from Liverpool behind him by heading out for breakfast with his daughter in Cheshire on Monday.
The Egyptian forward stunned Reds supporters last week by refusing to rule out a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona after admitting he was upset with the club over not being made captain for a Champions League game earlier this month.
But the 28-year-old was all smiles on Monday morning as he walked in the town of Wilmslow – the second most expensive place to live in the UK after central London – with his daughter Makka.

There was reason for Salah to be happy after he scored twice in Liverpool’s thumping 7-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday despite being named on the substitutes’ bench for the Premier League clash.
Klopp’s Reds opened up a four-point lead over second-placed Leicester City over the weekend though fierce rivals Manchester United, who lie in third, can cut that gap to two points if they win their game in hand.
But before the Crystal Palace victory, Salah intensified speculation over his future by claiming he could swap Merseyside for Spain in the near future.

When asked by Spanish publication AS whether a move to Real or Barcelona could be on the cards, Salah said: ‘We never know what is going to happen in the future.’
The Egyptian forward, who has scored 110 goals in 173 appearances since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, said he was disappointed to hear that he was not named as Reds skipper for this month’s Champions League tie with FC Midtjylland.
Regular captain Jordan Henderson was rested for the European tie but manager Klopp opted to pick defender Trent Alexander-Arnold to wear the armband.
Speaking about Klopp’s decision, Salah added: ‘Honestly, I was very disappointed. I was hoping to be the captain, but it’s a coach’s decision. I accept it.’

But the Egyptian was annoyed he was not named as captain for their match with FC Midtjylland
And when asked whether it changes his Liverpool future: ‘That’s a tough one, but right now I can say that everything is in the club’s hands.’
Over the weekend, Salah’s former Egypt team-mate Mohamed Aboutrika revealed that the forward is unhappy at Liverpool following the captaincy ordeal, but there are other reasons why the 28-year-old is unhappy at Anfield.
Aboutrika told beIN Sports: ‘I called Salah about his situation at Liverpool and he is upset, but that would never affect his performance on the field.

‘I know that Salah is not happy in Liverpool, he told me the reasons why he is not happy but they are secrets and I cannot talk about it in public.
‘One of the reasons that made Salah angry was that he was not the captain against Midtjylland.’
Aboutrika also claimed that Liverpool are open to selling Salah in order to raise money, with a sale potentially suiting all parties as the Egyptian would be more likely to win the Ballon D’Or if he was playing in Spain.

The former attacker added: ‘If Salah was a player at Real Madrid or Barcelona, and playing at the same level as Liverpool, he would’ve won the Ballon d’Or, and it is normal for a Spanish newspaper to ask Salah about Real Madrid and Barcelona.’
‘In my opinion, Liverpool are considering selling Salah for economic purposes.
‘I do not have any influence over Salah’s decisions, he is my friend and brother, and he is smart enough to know what is best for him.’
Liverpool and Salah’s next game is against struggling West Bromwich Albion this Sunday as Klopp’s Reds look to keep their top spot ahead of a busy winter schedule.
