LOS ANGELES, Oct. 28 (UPI) — Actress Zendaya is mourning the death of her childhood dog, Midnight, she revealed on social media early this week.
The Disney star, whose full name is Zendaya Coleman, revealed her family’s large schnauzer was hospitalized via Twitter on Sunday by retweeting her mother, who shared a photo with the 11-year-old pet. Early Tuesday, Coleman wrote a heartfelt message in memoriam of Midnight after his death.
“My baby went to heaven today,” she wrote alongside an Instagram photo of the dog. “Thank you for being one of the most loyal men in my life, for loving me unconditionally and for cuddling me when ever I needed. I don’t know if you ever understood me when I told you but I love you more than you’ll ever know. We’ve been together since I was 8 and I’m not really sure how to get use to a house without your cute paws clinking around….but thank you for every second of love you gave us. Give Poppi a kiss for me up there.”
Fans have come together in support of Zendaya since she revealed the status of her longtime pet, expressing their condolences for the animal’s death.
