It wouldn’t be a celebrity birthday without some loving posts on Instagram, but Elsa Pataky’s for her husband Chris Hemsworth has warmed our hearts.
Taking to her social media platform, the Spanish actress, 45, shared six unseen photos of the Thor star to commemorate his 38th lap around the sun.
“Happy birthday to my favourite husband ever.😝You mean the world to me. For many more years of laughs and happiness,” Elsa penned in her caption in English and again in Spanish.
“Happy birthday to my favourite husband ever.😝”
The photos included several of the happy couple, as well as a throwback one of Chris napping on the couch with his and Elsa’s three children – India, Tristan and Sasha.
In another, Chris looks comically awkward as a giraffe sniffs him from behind and one depicts the Hollywood star holding up a Tasmanian Devil in a blanket.

Fans loved Elsa’s array of candid snaps and shared their birthday messages in the comments.
“U two make the cutest couple😍❤️,” one remarked.
“HBD to the most handsome man in the World 🥳🥳🎊🎂🤩😍,” penned another.
“Favourite husband leaves hope for many of us 😂😂😂 happy birthday,” a third joked.
Chris and Elsa have been married since 2010 and share three children.
Chris also received birthday messages from his brothers Luke and Liam Hemsworth via Instagram as well, but their’s were more cheeky than cute.
In both their posts, the eldest and youngest Hemsworth brothers shared photos of each other rather than Chris.
This year, Chris turned 38.
Whilst Liam simply shared a photo of himself and Luke mucking about under a waterfall with the caption “Happy birthday @chrishemsworth,” Luke shared one of himself and Liam in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.
“Happy birthday brother @chrishemsworth !! Love you mate will remember this trip the Kimberly region for ever. So many memories together 😂” he joked in his caption.
On Thursday, the Hollywood star shared his own message of thanks to everyone who wished him a happy birthday.
Chris shared several photos, presumably taken at his family’s Byron Bay home where the area is currently in lockdown, that featured a very blue and delicious looking cake.
“Thanks for all the birthday messages! Had an epic day with the family and succeeded in devouring 75% of this awesome cake that my kids made before collapsing into a giant sugary heap of joy. Love you all ! Cheers 🎂 🥳,” he captioned his post.
