He was happy to make fun of himself and his movie’s CGI gaffe
Henry Cavill’s video has garnered a great deal of attention in and is all in tribute to a very special someone – his moustache.
Many can remember the strange fuzz during scenes from Justice League, where Henry’s Mission Impossible 6 moustache was being CGI-ed out for his role as Superman.
People certainly kicked up a fuss about “moustachegate” and questioned why Henry would not have just shaven his moustache for the Superman movie.
But of course, as those in the know are aware, Justice League was brought in for some reshoots after the introduction of writer Joss Whedon to revamp the script, and by this time, Henry had already signed a contract for his newest film.

Henry post-shave looks at himself in the mirror
While he was filming Mission Impossible 6, it is understood that Henry was not allowed, by any means, to shave the moustache off.
Under these circumstances, it would be shame not to give the glorious facial hair the send off it deserves, and boy, did Henry deliver.

Fans swooned as they were introduced to Henry, dressed in a robe with a towel round his head, explaining that his beloved friend, who he named ‘Kingstache’, had to go.
The star said: “Oh, hello. Don’t be alarmed it’s me, Henry Cavill the sometime superhero and former secret agent.
“But now, completely clean shaven.”
He could barely recognise his face without the fluff
He joshed that perhaps people won’t be able to recognise him in this, and joked that he even can’t recognise himself at times, but his clean shaven look is “not CGI.”
Henry vowed to remember him, and following this came a tribute reel of all the memories he shared with the magnificent moustache to the tune of a meaningful ballad.
A reel of clips from movies and backstage, including on the Mission Impossible 6 set and at Wimbledon were played, ending with the words ‘Shaved But Not Forgotten.”
Fans were in stitches over the video, calling it “the best thing.”
One thing is for sure, after this video, Kingstache will certainly be shaved but not forgotten.
