Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was once rumored to be in a gay relationship with Badr Hari, a Moroccan Boxer.
Often termed one of the greatest of this generation, Cristiano Ronaldo has been in the headlines on quite a few occasions for his relationships in his earlier days. It is no secret that Cristiano Ronaldo has been a heartthrob for women from all around the world. But once worldwide sports fans were astounded to the core when it was sensationally claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo was in a gay relationship with a Boxer.
Back in 2016, it was alleged that Cristiano Ronaldo was in a gay relationship with a Moroccan boxer. It was that the 5 times Ballon D’or winner used regularly used to jet to Morocco for ‘cuddles’ with friend Badr Hari.
At that time, a contributor on the French television show ‘Touche pas a mon sport’, Daniel Riola, hinted that the pair were not just friends but more that. The audience caught their breaths, when Riola said, “Ronaldo takes three or four jets a week to see a friend in Morocco to cuddle.” It was also said that the Portuguese Legend had cosmetic surgery on his nose.
A picture surfaced at the time showed the superstar being lifted by Hari and it was captioned “Just married. Always there to pick you up, bro.” Other pictures of the trip included a candle-lit image of traditional Moroccan cuisines, as well as a snap of the duo captioned post “wedding”.
But later, Ronaldo shrugged off any speculation regarding his sexual preferences, saying: “I’m at ease with my sexuality so it’s not a problem for me.” Even then, Cristiano has always been vocal about his support towards the LGBTQ+ community. Back in 2010, Ronaldo praised Portugal’s decision to allow gay marriages. Cristiano said, “As I am Portuguese, I try to keep myself informed about what is happening in my country. We must respect the choices of each other, because, after all, all citizens should have the same rights and responsibilities.”
