Casemiro has expressed happiness at seeing Christian Eriksen return to Manchester United training.
Manchester United released pictures of Christian Eriksen at Carrington with his teammates, as preparations get underway for this weekend’s Everton game.
Erik ten Hag has not ruled Christian Eriksen out of the weekend game, telling club media he is keeping an open mind.
Casemiro remains suspended, he has just one game left on his suspension to serve. But he was pictured alongside Eriksen in the session.
Casemiro and Eriksen soon to renew pairing
Eriksen hopes to make the matchday squad for Manchester United this weekend and perhaps get a few minutes from the bench.
It would be fantastic to have the Dane back in action, he has nine assists already this season. Only Bruno Fernandes (13) has more.
He was welcomed back by Casemiro and David de Gea via Instagram. Eriksen shared pictures of his return, writing: “Back at it”.
Both Casemiro and Christian Eriksen will be eligible to feature together in the Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla next Thursday.
Casemiro will be raring to go and make an instant return as a starter. It is up to Eriksen to prove his sharpness, perhaps with a few minutes this weekend, that he should line up alongside him.
The pair were forging an excellent partnership in Manchester United’s midfield, and we are so close to seeing them reunited for the first time since late January. Casemiro is clearly excited too.
