Alex Baena appeared with a swollen eye when receiving Valverde’s punch
As is known, after the match between Villarreal and Real Madrid, Federico Valverde blocked Alex Baena’s way in the bus park, before launching a punch to the opponent’s face. Later, the Villarreal player appeared with a bruise on his eye.
The reason is because in January this year, Alex Baena insulted the family of Federico Valverde when the two teams met in the King’s Cup of Spain. Alex Baena leaned in to his opponent’s ear and said: “Cry, your baby won’t be born”.

That statement comes at a time when the dear wife of the Real Madrid star is having health problems and is at risk of miscarriage. The good news is that the wife of Federico Valverde has overcome the danger and the baby is healthy. Even so, the Uruguayan star kept his feud with Alex Baena in mind.
After being assaulted by Federico Valverde, Alex Baena decided to sue. Villarreal homepage announced: “Alex Baena was assaulted last night while on his way to the bus after the match against Real Madrid. Faced with this situation, the Villarreal player has filed a lawsuit against the aggressor with the Commission. Spain’s Anti-Violence Committee. Villarreal Club strongly opposes any act of violence. We will support our players in the legal process.”

It is worth mentioning that in the event that Alex Baena submits an application to the La Liga Organizing Committee, the Real Madrid player is at risk of receiving a suspension of up to 12 matches. Villarreal club did not report to La Liga but let Alex Baena decide this case for himself.
If Federico Valverde is suspended for a long time, it will be a big loss for Real Madrid. However, many Los Blancos fans have voiced their support for the Uruguayan star’s family action.
