Kevin Durant’s incredible stat line during the 2022-23 season made NBA History.
The 2022-23 NBA regular season came to a close on Sunday afternoon when all 30 teams played their final game.
13-time NBA All-Star Kevin Durant did not play in the last two games for the Phoenix Suns (45-37), who were already locked in as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
Durant played in 47 games this season for both the Brooklyn Nets (and Suns) and had outstanding averages of 29.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.4 blocks per contest.
He shot a sensational 56.0% from the field, 40.4% from the three-point range and 91.9% from the free throw line.
According to ESPN’s Kirk Goldsberry and Matt Williams, Durant is the only player in NBA history to have that shooting split.
Via Goldsberry: “Kevin Durant is the 1st 55-40-90 player in NBA history.

Despite playing in 47 games, Durant still qualified in each category thanks to averaging over 18 FGA per game.

The 34-year-old was traded to the Suns in February (he had been with the Nets since the summer of 2019).
In eight games with the Suns, the former Texas star is averaging a fantastic 26.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest (the Suns are also 8-0).
The Suns are still perfect (8-0) with KD!

In each of the last two seasons, the Suns have been among the best teams in the entire league.
Therefore, the addition of Durant makes them one of the favorites to win the 2023 NB Championship.
The Suns will host the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday in Arizona for Game 1 of their first-round playoff series.
