Chelsea Football Club is excited to announce our men’s team will be returning to the United States of America this summer, with the confirmation today of our participation in the new Premier League Summer Series. Additional matches stateside will be confirmed by the club in the coming weeks.
The USA has been a frequent location for the Blues’ pre-season preparations, including last year when we played in Las Vegas, Charlotte and Orlando. This July we will be one of six clubs travelling to take part in matches and events in five major East Coast cities, in what is the Premier League’s first-ever pre-season tournament in the States.

As well as Chelsea, the clubs confirmed to feature are Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and Newcastle United. They will compete in a total of nine matches with the tournament kicking off on Saturday 22 July when Chelsea take on Brighton at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia.
Our other games are on Wednesday 26 July at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, where we play Newcastle, and the final match of the competition at FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland, on Sunday 30 July when Fulham will be the opposition.
While Chelsea have played in the stadiums in Philadelphia and Landover before, Atlanta will be a new venue.

Tickets for the matches will be available via pre-sale on Tuesday 25 April and go on general sale on Wednesday 26 April. Fans can click on Premier League Summer Series now to register their interest and can also register to hear more about supporting events in their area, as well as general news updates.
The tournament will comprise of the high-profile matches and pre-season training camps and will be supported by a range of events for fans and local community groups.

The Premier League has previously hosted pre-season matches via the Premier League Asia Trophy, with Chelsea taking part and winning that tournament in 2003 in Malaysia and 2011 in Hong Kong.
