Scarlett Johansson’s Old Spark Comments On Her Body Image
The Marvel actress has never held back her thoughts when it comes to debunking her miracle diet rumors or slamming the media for its unnecessary claims. While portraying certain roles, many actors/ actresses are supposed to look a certain way to get into character. But even in real life, stars have great pressure on their appearances in general.
Previously a rumor was making rounds on the internet, that Sean Penn told Scarlett Johansson to get into shape. The claims were that Penn was ” urging Scarlett to go on a health kick, which she’s taken personally since she’s touchy about being heavier than she’d like.” Well, the rumor has never been proven true as there was no confirmation from both the parties’ sides about this statement.
For those of you who don’t know, Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn were romantically linked in the year 2011. As the two were spotted many a time together in LA and at the White House Correspondents dinner party.
Scarlett Johansson Opens Up On The Pressure Of Looking Skinny
Actors/ Actresses take on certain difficult roles and they have to work hard on physical transformation for it. That’s understandable as they have to get into the character and bring the perfect portrayal of it onscreen. But there also has been constant pressure on stars for looking thinner, which is quite wrong. Speaking about her own health, the Jojo Rabbit actress revealed how she likes to maintain a certain healthy weight.
“There’s a weight I like to maintain, which is slim but healthy, but there’s a healthy way to keep to that weight and there’s an unhealthy way. I don’t have any comment on how other people choose to live their lives – but for me, I’m far too paranoid about my own health to take the road of eating disorders. I’d rather just stay in shape the natural way.”
It’s not the first time the 38-year-old actress has bashed Hollywood for its unhealthy-looking standards. Many movies over the years have showcased these truths about the film industry of not letting women be comfortable in their own bodies.
