Scarlett Johansson is reportedly pregnant with her second child.
The Oscar-nominated actress, 36, is said to be expecting her first child with husband Colin Jost, with the star also having daughter Rose, six, with ex-husband Romain Dauriac
It will be Colin’s first child and follows his and Scarlett’s quiet wedding in October 2020 after first being romantically linked in 2017.
Page Six reports that several sources have confirmed the actress is pregnant with one claiming she is “due soon” and noting the pair are “thrilled”.
Another insider told the publication: “Scarlett is pregnant but has been keeping it very quiet. She has been keeping a very low profile.”
Rumours first began to speculate that the star may be pregnant in June after she missed events to promote her new movie Black Widow.
The source continued: “She hasn’t been doing many interviews or events to promote Black Widow which is surprising since it is a huge Marvel/Disney release and she is both the star and an executive producer.”
She has instead been sticking to promotional events which are remote and can be done via avenues such as Zoom.
And sources told the publication that while Scarlett often spends summers in the Hamptons, this year she has kept an extremely low profile.
The Mirror has contacted the star’s representative for comment.
The actress is the lead in this weekend’s big-budget release Black Widow as she plays a Russian-born spy-turned-Avenger. The movie was postponed last year due to the worldwide pandemic and has already held several promo events across the world without Scarlett in attendance.
Florence Pugh, who plays Romanoff’s sister Yelena, has been left to take over the majority of the promotional duties, including a Zoom call on Good Morning America on Tuesday and a red carpet premiere in London on June 29.
Scarlett admits not playing a sex symbol has been one of her most empowering roles to date.
And she hopes her latest role will inspire all women – including her six-year-old daughter Rose.
