The world’s most expensive footballer proved he has a heart of gold as Neymar made a young fan’s dreams come true on Monday.
Football’s golden boy met with eight-year-old Ana Clara, who suffers from Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome, after a video request asking to meet her hero went viral.
The Paris Saint-Germain star duly answered the call, and was met with a massive hug when he turned up to meet the little girl.

The Brazil international posted pictures of himself and Ana Clara, including one of the pair holding up a T shirt with the message: ‘Dream as much as you can, always do. Never give up.’
Neymar posted the same message on Instagram alongside the pictures.
Progeria is an extremely rare genetic disease that affects 1 in 18million people across the globe.
The condition sees aspects of ageing, including hair loss, take hold at an early age and sufferers typically live to their mid-teens to early twenties.

Messi, Neymar are part of dominant goal scoring list, impressive stat shows
Paris Saint-Germain teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. have been two of the mainstays of football over the past decade and both are part of an impressive list that shows their dominance in the sport.
The Twitter account FIFA World Cup Stats posted the top active goal scorers and the two PSG teammates feature in the list. Neymar Jr., despite his injuries since coming to the French capital, sits at No. 9 with 436 goals.
Neymar is one goal behind former capital club striker Edison Cavani, who’s in the No. 8 spot with 437 goals. Meanwhile, Messi is currently No. 2 (805 goals scored) on the active goal scorers list, with only Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.
Ronaldo has scored 834 goals in his career; barring a miracle, the Portuguese forward will likely be ahead of Messi in that category. However, where the Argentine could beat out Ronaldo is who can score more goals at the club level.
Nonetheless, of the entire list, four players have played at the Parc des Princes, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic being No. 4 among active goal scorers, so PSG supporters have been treated to watching some of the best players who could put the ball in the back of the net.
