The Hollywood hard man was joined by his fiancé Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the LA screening
Jason Statham has joked about sneaking his one-year-old son into the shark horror film The Meg as he joined his fiancé Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the film’s premiere.
The Hollywood hard man, who stars as Jonas Taylor in the new blockbuster, said he would sneak his son Jack into a screening “under my jacket” when he’s a little bit older.
Speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of the new horror, Statham also threw cold water on any suggestion he may launch a bid to become the next James Bond if Daniel Craig steps down.
When asked about the possibility of taking his action film roles to the next level by stepping into Craig’s shoes, Statham joked: “No-one is coming to me for that job.”
The Meg features Statham as a rescue diver tasked with saving a submarine crew trapped at the bottom of the ocean with a giant prehistoric shark: the megalodon.
He and Rosie were joined on the red carpet on Monday night by the likes of Ruby Rose, Rainn Wilson, and Bingbing Li, as they posed for photographs before the screening.
Statham, 51, arrived alongside his model fiancé on the red carpet where he signed autographs for fans ahead of the event. The action film actor looked dapper wearing shades in a blue suit and silver tie, while Rosie stunned in a plunging black dress and heels.
Statham was also pictured posing with fists at the ready alongside Sylvester Stallone who made an appearance for the event.
Ruby Rose, best known for her role in Netflix’s Orange Is The New Black, dazzled in a flowing orange dress as she joined her co-stars on the red carpet. She stars as Jaxx Herd in the film.
Actresses Jessica McNamee, who plays Celeste, and Bingbing Li, who stars as Suyin, also attended the event. McNamee stunned in a navy strapless gown with thigh-high slit, while Li dazzled in a floor-length white dress.
