Hailey Bieber appeared to make reference to her rumored feud with Selena Gomez in a two-slide text post she shared to Instagram on Wednesday.
The wife of Justin Bieber, 26, admitted that 2023 has not been easy for her and that she’s been left emotionally ‘fragile’ after having to face difficulty after difficulty.
‘I like to make jokes about how I feel because sometimes it’s easier than admitting I’m having a hard time,’ Hailey began.
She continued: ‘But truthfully since 2023 started I have had some of the saddest, hardest moments I’ve ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions have been fragile to say the least.’
Last month, Hailey became the target of backlash after fans of Selena, 30, began accusing her of ‘copying’ the star’s style choices, career moves and even her taste in men.

Weeks after, Selena urged people to stop trolling and bullying Hailey, who had been receiving death threats, but the hate hasn’t ceased.
Hailey continued Wednesday: ‘And I know so many other people feel the same way I feel, so just know you’re not alone.
‘That being said, let’s keep being there for one another. Let’s be there for loved ones and friends and family and strangers.
‘Let’s just be there for people.. let’s keep showing up for each other even when it’s hard. We’re better together,’ she concluded.
Fans have been pitting Selena and Hailey against each other for years, though both have denied any bad blood.
The Disney Channel alum went out of her way in late March to squash rumors of their so-called feud.
‘Hailey Bieber reached out to me and let me know that she has been receiving death threats and such hateful negativity,’ Selena wrote on her Instagram Story. ‘This isn’t what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I’ve always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop.’
Shortly after posting, Hailey publicly thanked Selena for ‘speaking out,’ sharing that they had been discussing how to ‘move past this ongoing narrative’ between them once and for all.

‘The last few weeks have been very hard for everyone involved and millions of people are seeing so much hate around this which is extremely harmful. While social media is an incredible way to connect and build community, moments like this only create extreme division instead of bringing people together,’ she continued.
‘Things can be taken out of context or construed differently than they were intended. We all need to be more thoughtful about what we post and what we say, including myself.
‘In the end I believe love will always be bigger than hate and negativity and there is always an opportunity to meet each other with more empathy or compassion.’
Hailey and Selena also started following each other on Instagram to drive home their goodwill.
But just weeks later, Hailey was roasted online for launching her new cooking show — nearly three years after Selena debuted her own culinary series.
Hailey released the very first official episode of What’s in My Kitchen? on her YouTube channel and critics were quick to make comparisons to Selena’s HBO Max cooking series, Selena + Chef, which premiered in August 2020, calling Bieber’s latest project a ‘rip-off.’
The drama is rooted in the fact that Hailey is the wife of Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin.
Selena and the Baby singer dated on/off for seven years before officially calling it quits in early 2018.
During his ‘off’ periods with Selena, Justin enjoyed several flings with Hailey starting in 2015.
The pair grew to know one another while being in the same friend group as Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Jaden Smith.

And following his 2018 split with Selena, Justin reconnected with Hailey that June and they married one another three months later.
Though Hailey is admittedly having a ‘hard time,’ she did recently get to have some music therapy at Coachella this past weekend with Justin.
She documented her stylish looks for the three-day festival and even gave fans a peek at how she preps her skin and makeup during her time in the desert.
In a clip shared to her skincare brand Rhode’s Instagram page on Tuesday, the BFF of Kendall Jenner showed off her makeup-free complexion before diving into her skincare go-tos.
She told her fans that using a ‘hydrating essence’ is what ‘saved’ her skin during the three-day extravaganza.
After applying an essence and moisturizer, Hailey brought the camera close to her face to show off her glowing, flaw-free complexion.
Next, the Calvin Klein fixture revealed that she would be going for minimal makeup for ‘day 3 of coachella.’
‘So we’re basically doing nothing on the skin. Something on the cheeks, shaping the brows and maybe a little something on the lids,’ Hailey explained.

She applied a vibrant pink cream blush to the back of her hand and mixed it with a luminous lotion before generously applying it to her cheeks with her fingers.
Hailey did have the help of a makeup artist, who blended out the blush with a complexion sponge while a hair stylist straightened the star’s golden blonde bob.
She then lined her lips and applied a nude pink lipstick.
To complete the understated look, Hailey curled her eyelashes and drenched her plump pout in her sold-out Rhode peptide lip serum.
