Former Man United interim manager Ralf Rangnick is well aware of the qualities of Christopher Nkunku, the player he helped move to RB Leipzig.
However, he’s not happy about Nkunku’s decision to join Chelsea next summer.
“For me, one of the best attacking midfielders currently available and who, in my opinion, decided to move to Chelsea far too early,” Rangnick said, as per Bild.
“Can you imagine that such an outstanding player comes to a club that is in the state Chelsea are in at the moment?
“Personally, this hurts my heart. If I were his advisor or his father, I would be very worried right now.”
Nkunku’s move to Chelsea is yet to be announced officially, but it’s been considered done for months since the Frenchman underwent medical last autumn.
No one could’ve predicted the downfall that would happen with Chelsea after that. Nkunku is joining a midtable club who are yet to appoint a full-time manager ahead of the new season.
