The Paris Saint-Germain duo lead the goal maker and goal takers’ charts in the French top flight.
Paris Saint-Germain’s third successive Ligue 1 win at Angers on Saturday kept them eight points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table with six games to play, and also gave Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi the opportunity to move clear at the top of the French top-flight’s individual scoring charts.
Kylian Mbappé scored against Lens, and found the net twice inside 15 minutes at the Stade Raymond Kopa to move onto a league-leading 22 goals for the season.
That puts him one ahead of Lille’s Jonathan David and two clear of Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette, both of whom also found the net this weekend.
Leo Messi improved his tally of assists as he linked up effectively with his strike partner for the team’s second goal.
He was also involved in the first, clipping a pass over the home backline for Juan Bernat to cross for Mbappé. Leo Messi now has 15 assists, three clear of his nearest challenger, teammate Neymar Jr (11)!
With 15 goals and 15 assists, the Argentine has 30 goal involvements in Ligue 1 this season, the most of any player.
