Amber Heard may wish she’d never left the peace of her Californian hideaway.
The Aquaman actress has been in court in Virginia for the last six weeks in a bitter court battle with her ex-husband Johnny Depp.
After a testy trial, the mum-of-one was found guilty of defaming the Pirates of the Caribbean star and ordered to pay $15million in damages.
But before all this she was living a low-key life in the Californian desert with her daughter Oonagh.
California dreaming
Amber’s pad sits nestled in the Yucca Valley in the Californian dessert.
Located 27 miles north of Palm Springs, the rural town only has a population of around 20,000.

The tot was born via surrogate
The actress reportedly bought the home in 2019 for £450,00
The Rum Diaries star sometimes gives fans a sneak peak of the tranquil idyll over on Instagram.
In one snap she can be seen holding her daughter in front of floor-to-ceiling windows, a huge TV and inset fireplace.
The backdrop shows a modest-sized garden, which looks onto a neighbouring property.
In another pic, the actress seems to be cooking up a storm as she poses in front of a white range oven in a island kitchen.
Proud mum
Amber welcomed Oonagh, one, in April 2021.
The little girl was born via surrogate.
In a heartwarming video on her Instagram Stories, Amber holds her pride and joy in her kitchen while tucking into a healthy green smoothie.
The actress with her “little O”
In another snap she paid tribute to her daughter as she celebrated the little one’s first birthday.
Sitting in a tastefully decorated living room with mahogany floors, the tot can be seen reaching for a birthday balloon.
Amber gushed: “My little O is a year old today. I still can’t believe you’re here. The greatest year” followed by a red heart emoji.
“Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way.
“I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalised to not want a ring in order to have a crib. A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business.”
However, as she comes to terms with the events of the last six weeks, unfortunately, Amber’s private life is now everyone’s business.
