One breed that has a completely iconic look is the cute dalmatian, proof of their vast history that has become a popular cultural icon over the years and it’s simple to understand why they are loved as both working dogs and family dogs for their distinctive looks and gentle personalities!
Using Wiley as an illustration; No two dalmatians are alike! The cute dalmatian became famous online when it was clearly seen that the heart-shaped mark on its nose. According to 26-year-old mother Lexi Smith, Wiley is “54 pounds of silly, clumsy, sassy, hungry, cuddly, curious, wild, crazy, stupid, and happy love.”
The heart-shaped mark on Wiley’s nose is certainly noticeable, but Lexi insists that’s not why she chose him. He was one of eight boys in a litter of 11, so it was hard for me to decide which one to choose. The heart is still there, but it’s not developed enough yet that I think it will stay because the spots change so much as they mature. We had a lot in common because the breeder told me all it did was sleep, cuddle and eat.
Wiley is definitely a cuddly bug, but in keeping with his dalmatian nature, he’s also extremely active. Luckily, Lexi claims that they reside in a place where it’s simple to get Wiley out to burn off his wild energy. The adorable pooch is now considered an official phenomenon and when they go out together, as they often do, it’s not just because the heart-shaped muzzle attracts the dog’s attention.
The breed still has strong protective instincts; while friendly and devoted to people it knows and trusts, it can be wary of strangers and other dogs. Dalmatians are very good at repelling mice and other pests because they have a strong hunting instinct. In sports, they were used as hunting dogs, trail hounds, hunting dogs, and packs for hunting deer and wild boar.
Over the years, they have become successful circus dogs due to their striking markings and intelligence.
