Last week, the X-Men: Apocalypse stunner signed on to produce and star in Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino’s 1830-set Icelandic crime-drama Burial Rites – according to Variety.
Jennifer will next play Russian ballerina-turned-spy Dominika Egorova in Francis Lawrence’s thriller Red Sparrow – hitting US/UK theaters March 2 – alongside Joel Edgerton, Mary-Louise Parker, and Jeremy Irons.
‘Red Sparrow was sexual, and I haven’t done anything sexy or sexual,’ Lawrence said of the project.
‘I’ve been afraid of that since 2023, when I got my [nude] pictures hacked. I just thought, “I’ll never do that again. I’ll never share that part of myself ever since it got shared against my will.” And then when I said yes to Red Sparrow, I felt I was taking something back.’
