Can you imagine the greatest Aquaman being all shy and sweet? Well, apparently you don’t have to.
Jason Momoa has a lot going on in his acting career lately. Recently he was a part of Dune, where he played Duncan Idaho.
Then came the sci-fi show See, where he played Baba Voss until the show ended last year. But one of his biggest projects is his DC Extended Universe role as Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman.
Aquaman, starring Momoa, hit the big screen in 2018. The movie had a great cast of A-list actors, including Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson and others.
Momoa’s romantic partner Mera was portrayed by Amber Heard, who apparently enjoyed being his on-screen love interest so much that she couldn’t keep her feelings to herself.
Now, many would expect that with Momoa being the biggest star, his attitude on set would be questionable.
But as his co-star Amber Heard said, “Jason was absolutely funny and very kind to everyone.” In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Heard stated that “his heart and personality are as big as he is.
In the same interview, she also shared some memories of how Momoa always brought a lot of positive vibes to the set of the movie.
Heard claimed that her co-star always made everyone laugh. And the entire crew and cast of the film were mesmerized by him.
“He’s got this booming voice and his sense of humor isn’t satisfied unless he’s making people laugh. I used to joke that you always know where Jason is – you hear loud rock and roll, booming voice and people laughing and something breaking or falling. He’d be the worst ninja ever,” Heard said in the interview.
Aquaman 2 is set to premiere in December 2023. The script is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.
The second part of the film will continue the adventures of Aquaman, being the fifteenth and final film in the DC Extended Universe.
