“The guy is just a built F*cking dude”: Joe Rogan is Not Against Jason Momoa Using Steroids for $7.5 Million Payday in DCU as Aquaman

Jason Momoa is returning soon to theatres with his portrayal of Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe. While his new film, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been in negative light due to his co-star Amber Heard, his charisma continues to bring the film in a new light.

Given his muscular physique, there have been speculations over the former using steroids to get the ideal body shape for his popular role.

While many continue to wonder about his perfect body being linked to steroids, famous podcaster Joe Rogan has expressed his thoughts on the heated topic.

American comedian, Joe Rogan

Back in 2021, Joe Rogan in his famous podcast show, The Joe Rogan Experience with guest star Derek, a young fitness enthusiast, discussed Jason Momoa and his ultimate physique, which many admire. During the segment, he asked the latter whether the DC actor would be on a sauce to which the latter responded,

“I think my conclusion at the time, that was a really iffy one, because the guy is just a built f**king dude to begin with, with like a big frame.”

However, he added that he “probably did a little something” to get a shredded body for his role as Aquaman in the DCEU. Even Rogan agreed with his statement as it would be safer to assume that he might have consumed some amount of steroids at some point to get that great frame.

While many have doubts over whether he does steroids, given that many celebrities have admitted it, while Momoa is known for his intense workouts and diets. To maintain his muscular shape, he is known for doing rigorous bodyweight exercises along with plenty of resistance training. He is also genetically gifted when it comes to building a muscular physique.

As Variety reported, Momoa is getting $15 million for reprising the role of Aquaman in the upcoming sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. It is said that his current paycheck is double the amount that he was paid for the first film.

Taking that into consideration, it can be safe to assume that his salary for the 2018 film, Aquaman was around $7.5 million. Back when the first film became an immense success, the 43-year-old actor renegotiated his contract, thus getting a pay raise for his upcoming film.

Starring alongside Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, and Nicole Kidman, among several others, the new film has been the subject of much controversy. Many fans demanded Heard, who plays Mera in the franchise, be removed from the film due to the defamation trial filed by her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.

Amber Heard and Jason Momoa will return to their role with the new film, which is scheduled to be released on December 20, 2023.
