After a viral Wednesday dance scene gets remixed to a Lady Gaga track, star Jenny Ortega welcomes the possibility of the singer appearing on the show.
The possibility of Lady Gaga guest-starring on the hit Netflix series Wednesday is gathering momentum, and star Jenna Ortega approves.
A Tiktok remix of Ortega’s viral dance from Wednesday featuring Lady Gaga’s 2011 hit “Bloody Mary” prompted Gaga herself to post a recreation of the dance, leading Variety to ask Ortega whether Gaga could show up in the series. “I’m sure Netflix would love that,” Ortega responded. “Mrs. Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird kind of mentor relationship, or understood each other in a certain way, so if Lady Gaga were to be a part, I think they would have to be two monsters that understand each other.”

Wednesday Addams’ famous dance scene appears in Season 1, Episode 4, “Woe What a Night,” in which she performs an odd, spastic routine to The Cramps’ single “Goo Goo Muck.” The scene caught on quickly with Wednesday‘s viewers and the internet at large. The ’80s song enjoyed a similar renaissance in popularity following the horror comedy series’ premiere on Nov. 23, seeing a huge increase in streaming numbers after the scene went viral.
Speaking about her connection to Lady Gaga, Ortega recounted the first time the two stars entered one another’s orbit. “A long time ago I worked with a hairdresser that worked with Gaga and I just had seen Gaga in concert a few years before,” she said, explaining how the hairdresser asked the singer to film a video for Ortega. “Gaga made me a sweet video. I doubt she remembers. But to see her do that now, it’s one of those moments you realize life changes really fast.”

Wednesday Season 2 Is Coming
Wednesday has proven to be a hit for Netflix, quickly becoming one of the streaming service’s most popular U.S. shows of all time. It is the second-most watched English-language title in the streaming service’s history and was the top U.S. TV show for six weeks straight following its premiere. Season 2 of Wednesday was confirmed by Netflix in January, accompanied by a “thank you” video narrated by Ortega.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is set to star in the upcoming musical Joker sequel Joker: Folie à Deux as Harley Quinn. The newest installment of the Joker franchise sees her appear alongside Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro and Zazie Beetz. If the Oscar-winning entertainer does appear on Wednesday, Gaga would join a star-studded cast for Season 2 that includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Christina Ricci and Luis Guzmán.
