Was it Paul Walker, Vin Diesel or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who claimed the No. 1 spot?!
The names of the top-grossing actors of 2013 were released today, and since Fast & Furious 6 was huge in the box office (oh, you didn’t know?), one of the franchise’s stars made their way to the top of a recent Forbes list, beating out Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr.
The celeb who snagged the top spot may surprise you. Any more guesses before we reveal who it is? Last chance.
OK, the No. 1 top-grossing actor for this year is…
The Rock!
Although Iron Man 3 brought in more money at the box office than the car-racing film (Fast & Furious 6 earned $789 million at the box office worldwide), it was Johnson’s multiple films over the past year that secured him a spot at the top of the list.
According to the article, Johnson had one huge film (Fast & Furious 6), one big film (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) and two smaller films, which together added up to $1.3 billion at the global box office, beating out Downey’s only movie from the year, which made $1.2 billion.
However, Johnson’s Fast & Furious costars also made the list. Diesel landed in fourth place with $887 million, while Walker placed sixth thanks to Fast & Furious 6, the biggest hit of his career.
