Chelsea are set to offer Thiago Silva a contract extension to extend his impressive stay at Stamford Bridge.
Silva, 38, is the key man in the Blues’ back line, but his current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.
According to The Times, new Chelsea manager Graham Potter has been impressed with the Brazilian’s attitude and he is seen as the perfect role model as the hierarchy at the club try and build a team for the future.

Silva has been a regular in a Chelsea back line that has not always been the most reliable this season, with injuries to players such as Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Ben Chilwell meaning Potter has been unable to name a consistent side.
But the Blues have signed Benoit Badiashile this month, and he has started the last two games, with Trevoh Chalobah starting to perform consistently on the right of a back three.
James and Chilwell are also believed to be close to returning to fitness.

Silva is said to be enjoying life in London since arriving from PSG in 2020 and is reportedly keen to continue playing until he turns 40.
Todd Boehly has already spent £450million on transfers since taking over the club last year, including well over £150million this month.
He is showing no signs of slowing down his spending as he looks to help Chelsea recover from a tough situation and climb from 10th in the Premier League table, but will hope his investments, such as Badiashile and Fofana, will reap reward soon.
