Dwayne Johnson’s filmography consists of various different films. However, his most recent Black Adam happened to be one of his most anticipated films of his in a long time. Dwayne Johnson had been involved with Black Adam since 2007, and it was his passion project. However, the film fell flat on its face when it was released.
Recently, he took to Instagram to bid goodbye to another one of his anticipated films, where he would be starring alongside, Captain America aka Chris Evans in Red One. The film is set to release this year during Christmas.
The Rock took to his social media and bid an emotional farewell to all the cast and crew involved in the film. He showed his gratitude to all of the members present there and claimed himself to be “a lucky guy.” After 48 days of bidding goodbye to his Black Adam dreams, Johnson again bid goodbye to his latest film’s crew.
‘Red One’ is an extremely highly anticipated film, and fans of both Johnson and Evans have high hopes for it. Johnson’s superhero film failed to perform at the box-office, but his fans never lost their hope on the former wrestler, and are counting on him to have a blast this time.
Will there be no sequel to Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam?
Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam came out in 2022, and while fans have extremely high hopes, the film failed to deliver. Although, a handful of fans went crazy about the film however, almost all the critics disliked the film. Except for Henry Cavill’s cameo, the film had nothing to be liked about it.
Soon, after James Gunn took over as the co-CEO of DC Studios, Henry Cavill was removed as Superman. And Dwayne Johnson’s hopes for a Black Adam sequel were also crushed. Johnson would take to Twitter and announce how Black Adam was not in the plans for Gunn’s vision for DCEU.
Although, the news is for now, fans might witness Black Adam in the near future. Nevertheless, we would like to wish all the best to Dwayne Johnson for his upcoming film.
