He is world-class and he has proven that again this season and will keep doing that. It is a pleasure to play in front of him.”
De Gea made his 400th Premier League appearance for Manchester United at the weekend, helping the Red Devils keep a clean sheet in a 2–0 away at Leeds.
The Spaniard’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the 2022/23 season and renewal talks are still ongoing. However, the deal could still be extended for a further year.
