While deployed in Iraq, Sgt. Jason Bos was paired up with Cici, his K-9 partner. They worked together through more than a hundred missions. But when Bos retired because of a back injury, he went back to the states without Cici, a chocolate labrador.

But thoughts of Cici haunted him. He missed her, and, over the next two years, he got really depressed about it. Then, one day, he learned that the military was preparing to retire Cici. Bos contacted the military and let them know how much he would love to have her back in his life again.
So, with the help of the American Humane Society and Mission K9 Rescue, Cece was flown all the way from Germany to Chicago and reunited with her old buddy at O’Hare International Airport. And she was sure glad to see him too.

The two are now living together in retirement at Bos’ Michigan home, with both of them hard at work, says Bos, of being couch potatoes.
