Manchester United are sweating over the fitness of Marcus Rashford ahead of the Carabao Cup final.
The Old Trafford side are taking on Newcastle United at Wembley on Sunday looking for a first trophy since 2017.
They are waiting to see if Rashford will be available, however, after the 25-year-old forward appeared to pick up a knock in the Europa League win over Barcelona on Thursday night.
The England international went down hurt in the first half at Old Trafford but played on for the majority of the game.
He was later substituted and walked off down the touchline with his left boot off.
Manager Erik ten Hag will wait on the results of tests by the club’s medical department before he knows more.
“I don’t know, the players now are coming in, we have to do investigations, medical of course, we did straight after the game, but most of time you have to wait for a 100 per cent diagnosis,” Ten Hag said on Friday. “So let’s do the medical, the work, we have to wait.”
Anthony Martial, however, will definitely miss Sunday’s final, with Ten Hag confirming that the forward has been doing individual training this week but is not yet ready to play.
Rashford has been in sparkling form for Manchester United this season scoring 24 times in all competitions including 14 in the Premier League.
