Real Madrid might not have a lot of squad depth at this point of time, but the players that they do have on their hands, deliver more often than not. That is why, despite a long list of injury problems, the club are still competing in all three competitions while having won the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
One of their standout performers since last season has been Vinicius Junior. For years, he had been a highly-rated wonderkid, who was incredibly inefficient in front of goal.
The Brazilian winger has undergone a bit of a transformation since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti as manager though and now, he can truly be counted amongst the best players in the world. We saw a perfect example of that in the recent game against Liverpool at Anfield, as Vinicius inspired Real Madrid to a historic 5-2 win over Jurgen Klopp’s side.
That kind of form seems to be catching the eye of clubs from around Europe though. As reported by Planeta Real Madrid (via The Hard Tackle), Vinicius is the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain. But Los Blancos will not entertain any offers from PSG for the brilliant Brazilian winger.
Real Madrid superstar wanted by Paris Saint-Germain
Real Madrid must keep Vinicius, as one of the centre pieces of their future. He has proven himself to be that good and is looking like a future Ballon d’Or winner.
For years, the club have been linked with Kylian Mbappe. But now, one has to question whether they even need him anymore, with Vinicius already at Santiago Bernabeu.
The best thing about Vinicius is that he is still just 22 years of age and is expected to get even better over the coming years. That is an exciting thought for Real Madrid fans for sure.
