Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard has praised his teammate Gabriel Jesus on NBC Sports.
Trossard, who joined Arsenal from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window, is pleased to see Jesus back in action.
The 25-year-old Brazil international striker made his long-waited comeback from injury against Fulham in the London derby this past weekend.
Arsenal beat Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage in London in the Premier League.
Belgian winger Trossard provided all three assists.
Jesus, who moved to Arsenal from defending Premier League champions Manchester City, suffered a long-term injury while playing for Brazil at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
And now the 25-year-old is back in action after making a full recovery.
LEANDRO TROSSARD ON ARSENAL TEAMMATE GABRIEL JESUS
Trossard said about Jesus: “Like I said, he is a top player, and he has contributed already a lot for Arsenal. And you can see his presence makes others better as well. We need everyone, and it’s great to have him back.”
Arsenal did well without Gabriel Jesus in the last several weeks and remain at the top of the Premier League table.
And now that Jesus is back, it will enhance the Gunners’ chances of beating defending champions Manchester City to the title this season.
Now, of course, we cannot expect the 25-year-old to start banging in the goals straightaway, and he will also have to earn his place in the team.
But, in our view, Jesus being back is a massive boost to Arsenal.
